Rangrang traditional weaving cloth is the art community ancestral of Nusa Penida island. In ancient decade, these weaving cloths used for ceremonial Hindus only.
Now by the grace of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, Traditional Rangrang weaving cloth has been increasingly recognized and favored by the public.
Typical traditional motifs and color woven cloth can be made naturally from the color of the leaves, flowers and fruits. But weavers also wearing the chemical color. Rangrang weaving cloth is more dominant and prominent wearing bright colors like purple, red and orange. There is a part with small holes on the motif of this Rangrang cloths.
Craftsmen have also been developed by producing bags, wallets, sandals with traditional Rangrang cloth motifs.Semarapura traditional market, on the east part, next of Kertha Gosa, Klungkung, Bali became a place to display woven cloth products or directly visit Rangrang weaving cloth craftsmen in Nusa Penida Island. cloth. The peak decade of Endek - traditional

In this modern period, Balinese already use it for prayer purposes and others ritual celebration. The Wisdom of Balinese to find and create range of new products that made by Endek, such as : handbags, wallets, shoes, shirts, headbands, shorts, etc.

Currently there is weaving technique that was developed in Bali, especially Endek motifs. The technique is carried out with the addition of “ Coletan “ on certain parts is named by " Nyantri ". Nyantri technical is adding color into the woven cloth with a short bamboo brush strokes like drawing on the cotton cloth.
